Designing a CPU in VHDL on the miniSpartan6+ by Domipheus

Domipheus has put together a detailed guide to a 16-bit CPU written in VHDL to run on the miniSpartan6+.

He walks you through the steps in a series of posts, starting from using the Xilinx ISE, making registers, instruction sets, an ALU, and so on.  Domipheus explains the rationale behind his design along the way, and develops tests for each module.

Check out the posts, 8 so far, on Domipheus Labs here.
