I’m looking for FPGA developing boards in order to implement a VHDL video processing algorithm and the miniSpartan seems interesting.
What I need in order to implement my algorithm is to access the individual information of the pixels. Specifically, the 8-bit luminance data. With this data as an input I can then make my calculations.
Do you think this can be easy to implement using the reference HDMI in-out design of the miniSpartan as a basis? The algorithm is already implemented and simulated, I need now to test it on actual hardware. So far I have experience only with Altera tools.
